Assignment #3: Greyscale Repeat Pattern

Professor Hudspeth gave us a demo on how to create a repeat pattern in class. We were assigned to create our own pattern for the next class. I decided on a pretty corny nautical themed pattern, although I do think the narwhal is pretty cool.

 The finished product ended up like this.

After giving it to Professor Lambert and Professor Hudspeth greyscale photocopies were made and the repeat pattern could be placed together. Unfortunately, I believe the photocopy was a little off because the top of the narwhal doesn't quite connect correctly. The other sides do not have the same issue and it is understandable that out of 40 drawings that had to be copied six times that there would be an error.
