PAMM visit--Sid Grossman: Photography, Politics and the Ethical Image

The PAMM visit we made as a class for the photography exhibition and subsequent discussion were greatly enjoyable. It was interesting to see the agenda that Grossman had in his photos and compare it with Curtis'. The discussion we had for the other photos was very engaging, I enjoyed seeing all the different perspectives my classmates had on the reasons why Grossman took his photos the way he did.

My favorite piece was the (first) Oklahoma 1940 photograph because I both enjoy the composition and the subject matter. While the rest of the series handles the same subject matter the two photos I enjoyed the most were both the Oklahoma 1940 photographs because I love the impact the large amount of grain has.
