Topic Four: Garden or Street Assignment

 I chose to draw a street in my neighborhood for the assignment. It was a familiar and easy spot to get to after a bit of a walk so I thought it would be good. It was dark at the time so I was mostly focusing on the shadows and light sources of the area around me

 

After all the readings on how gardens are these fake imitations of nature I got the idea in my head that I could make this assignment relate to that idea of landscape not being realistic. So not even thinking about how I was going wildly off the actual rules of the assignment I made the most fake portrayal of my experience while doing the assignment. The whole layout of the neighborhood is straight from my memory and what I wrote about my surroundings during the writing portion of the assignment.
