Topic Four: Narrative Project
The idea I wanted to explore in Courtyards at Deerwood was the relationship between a shared living space and the borders that people drew up, as well as the rules in which govern such a space. The performance consists of three people who live in this neighborhood (me and my siblings) gathering rocks and asphalt from the backs of peoples fences and the street to create three fake borders from fence to fence.
I believe I could have documented this piece from a better angle, and chosen two people who were not as different to perform.
